DETAILS MAKE MAG BAY THE FINEST VESSELS ON THE WATER
Custom boat quality is standard on a Mag Bay. All materials are carefully evaluated to ensure the boat is the best it can possibly be. A basic example, we use vinylester resin in 100% of the boat. Vinylester resin has stronger bonding characteristics over polyester resin, which provides additional strength and durability as the boat ages. Whereas most builders use vinylester in only the first few hull layers and finish it with polyester, Mag Bay Yachts feature vinylester resin in the construction of the entire boat including all topside and console parts. From stem to stern, you'll find custom made stainless steel hardware incorporated throughout a Mag Bay. From heavy duty hinges to custom gas spring mounts that have screw heads all turned the same way, to custom cockpit drains, Mag Bay is all about the details.
IN-HOUSE STAINLESS
STEEL FABRICATION
Mag Bay Yachts is known for its dedication to quality, which extends to the custom hardware and stainless steel fabrication on every vessel. Each boat is equipped with custom-built hardware that is meticulously designed and crafted in-house to ensure it meets both functional and aesthetic standards. The stainless steel T-tops, fabricated by skilled craftsmen, offer a perfect blend of strength, durability, and elegance. These T-tops are engineered to withstand the harsh marine environment while maintaining a sleek and polished appearance, making them a signature feature of Mag Bay’s commitment to precision and excellence in every detail.
A BETTER ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM LAYOUT
You won't find a boat with a better electrical system layout. Each Mag Bay is meticulously wired by master marine electricians. Every wire is heat-shrunk, and clearly labeled with fuses and terminal blocks that are presented in art-like form. Throughout the boat, even where you would rarely look, you'll find wires that are neatly loomed and tucked away. The lazarrette and mechanical spaces on a Mag Bay are spacious, cleanly laid out and clearly labeled. All hose clamps are fitted with "clamp aids", and the lazarrette floor is even fitted with non-skid and glimmering gelcoat for easy cleaning. Another example of detail, take a look under our gunnels. We glass and gelcoat every joint in the boat. We're not afraid to go the extra mile where the competition wouldn’t normally look. All this careful attention to detail amounts to distinguished and unmatched quality. This has been our approach to boat building for years and we vow to carry the tradition and continuously improve in building you the best boat possible.
CONSTRUCTION
Purposely overbuilt, the focus of Mag Bay Yachts is to build the finest center consoles and sport fishers possible using only the best materials available to the industry. All rigging and wiring is done after the boat is assembled to ensure that the runs are accessible for future rigging. This results in a little more work at the factory, but infinitely better for the customers on the end. The boat is built to or above all NMMA/ABYC standards.
“We’re not afraid to put in the extra time and effort to build a better quality boat. It doesn’t matter if it’s an area that will never be seen, it’s going to be finished off the right way the first time.”
